Site Location: Waikowhai Boardwalk (stage 1) / Bamfield Reserve & Accessway
Overall Description: Two sections of the timber constructed coastal boardwalk have
been seriously damaged by clif edge landslips bringing down trees & soil onto the
boardwalk platform - damaging the timber decking, rails, underbearers and possibly
structural posts, and at the western end of the boardwalk there is a landslip that has
brought down bush & soil onto the concrete pathway damaging the bush track
pathway & steel fencing, this pathway leads through the Bamfield Reserve to the
local roadway entries.
