1. How many staff did you terminate in 2021-2022 for not being vaccinated against covid-19?
2. I see there is a notice on your page: 29 Sept 2021 [Aide Memoire] WorkSafe’s approach to
COVID-19 vaccinations for its own workers which is from https://www.worksafe.govt.nz/about-
us/information-requests/information-releases/titles-of-advice-to-the-minister-for-workplace-
relations-and-safety/. Would you kindly share the above 29 Sept 2021 "Aide Memoire" as part of
my official information act request.
3. What was your staff headcount as of Nov 2021 and as of today when you answer this OIA?

I have responded to each of your questions below.
1. WorkSafe did not terminate any staff for not being vaccinated against COVID-19.
2. I have decided to release the Aide Memoire listed below subject to certain information being
withheld under section 9(2)(a) of the Official Information Act,
to protect the privacy of natural
persons.
3. As of 30 November 2021, WorkSafe had 686 kaimahi employed at WorkSafe. As of 19 February
2024, there were 619.
