Thank you for your email of 16 February 2024 requesting the fol owing information under the Official 
Information Act 1982 (the Act): 
 
Please provide the following 
 
Total Funding provided to local and regional councils across New Zealand since 2010 
 
For example 
 
Greater Wellington Regional Council 
Payments Made 
Dates payments made 
What the funding was for 
 
Please provide this in excel format for each of the councils across New Zealand 
 
Wel ington City Council, South Wairarapa etc etc etc 
 
Please find attached a copy of 2009-12 spend on a national level.xlsx, and 2012-23 spend on a 
national level.xlsx for the information requested on the total funding provided to local and regional 
councils across New Zealand from 2010 to 2023. 
 
Due to number of payments that are made throughout a financial year, and over a 10-year period, the 
information requested on payment dates cannot be made available without substantial col ation or 
research. We have considered consulting, charging, or extending in order to assist your request 
however would stil  require representatives to manual y search through every invoice to obtain the 
payment date across a number of road control ing authorities over the ten year timeframe. 
 
Therefore, I am declining this part of your request under section 18(f) of the Act because the 
information requested cannot be made available without substantial col ation or research.
