Re: Eatsafe Inspection Report 
 
I refer to your email, which we received on 10 February 2024, requesting information about 
an Eatsafe inspection report. 
 
Your specific request and our response are below. 
 
Recently, there is a restaurant that I personally frequent, Songket Malaysian Cafe at 
6-10 Kilham Avenue Northcote 0627. They have recently received Eatsafe grade E and 
then D. 
 
Please provide the eatsafe report of the inspection as whole on their grade E and D. I 
feel as this is matter of public safety as the restaurant provided their reply to the 
awarded grade. 
 
The information you have requested concerning the inspection reports relating to the D and 
E grades issued to Songket Malaysian Café situated at 6-10 Kilham Avenue Northcote 0627, 
is withheld pursuant to section 6(c) of the Local Government Of icial Information and 
Meetings Act 1987 (i.e. making available the information would be likely “to prejudice the 
maintenance of law, including the prevention, investigation , and detection of offences, and 
the right to a fair trial”). The reason for this refusal is because further enforcement action 
against this business is under consideration. 
Decisions relating to the information that is being released to you were made by Veronica 
Lee-Thompson, Acting Manager Licensing and Environmental Health, Licensing and 
Regulatory Compliance.
