I refer to your official information request dated 31/01/2024 CCTV camera locations
1. I would like a list of al the cameras, cctv, anemometers, and any other devices, as there
are one or two, I don't recognise.
Attached are two lists – a Word doc of City Rail Link cameras (CRL for those located in Te
Komititanga), and an Excel spreadsheet of AT cameras (located on the requested
surrounding streets).
2. Are there any noise and/or air quality measuring devices, or pedestrian count devices?
This part of your request has been transferred to Auckland Council under section 12 of
LGOIMA.
3. I would like to know who has ownership and is responsible for each, in short who is
recording and col ecting the info and data.
With regards to the cameras in the attached documents, these assets are owned by AT or
CRL, as per the lists. CCTV recording and data col ection is handled by AT for both AT-
owned and CRL-owned CCTV cameras.
4. I understand that some of the equipment may not be owned by AT but am unsure who
owns the poles on which most of the equipment is located.
This was a new project as part of city rail link. It was completed in 2021. None of the
devices or information about them were handed over to us, other than the poles
themselves and the luminaires. we believe these devices were commissioned by Heart of
the City and the events CCO Tataki Auckland Unlimited to count people. (possibly using the
company count culture) but have no further information as they are not maintained or
operated by AT.
we trust this clarifies your request, but should you believe that we have not dealt with your
request appropriately, you are able to make a complaint to the Office of the Ombudsman in
accordance with section 27(3) of the LGOIMA Act and seek an investigation and review regarding
this matter.
