Official Information request: Ministry for Ethnic Communities policies 
 
I refer to your Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) request received on 24 January 2024, 
for the fol owing Ministry for Ethnic Communities’ (the Ministry) policies: 
•  Social Media Policy 
•  Allowances Policy 
•  Travel Policy, and 
•  Gifts and Hospitality Policy. 
 
As noted in our previous response (OIA2324-0403), the fol owing three policies relate to the 
Department of Internal Affairs (DIA), Allowances Policy, Travel Policy, and Gifts and 
Hospitality Policy.  
 
Accordingly, I am transferring this part of your request to DIA under section 14(b)(i ) of the 
Act, as the agency more closely connected to these policies. You can expect to hear from DIA 
regarding this part of the request. 
 
The Ministry wil  respond to the remainder of your request for the Social Media Policy by no 
later than 13 February 2024, in accordance with the Act.
