INFORMATION REQUEST – Meeting documentation
We  write  in  response  to  your  email  dated  17  January  2024  in  which  you  requested  the
following information:
any communications, meetings notes etc regarding the information evening on
Tauranga's 2024 local body elections mentioned in article linked below planned
for Monday, 19 February.

We have considered your request in accordance with the Local Government Official
Information and Meetings Act 1987 (“LGOIMA”) and respond as follows:
The candidate information evening to be held on Monday, 19 February 2024
mentioned in the article in the BOP Business News is part of the Democracy
Transition Plan being developed in preparation for the July 2024 Tauranga City
Council election. A copy of this Plan is attached at Attachment 1.
There were two meetings with Commissioners on the development of the Plan and
the notes of those meetings are attached.

  Attachment 3: Notes from meeting on 9 October 2023
There was a briefing to the Strategy, Finance and Risk Committee on 18 September
2023 on elections and the presentation and feedback from that briefing is attached.
