Re: Animal welfare services 
 
I refer to your email, which we received on 3 March 2015, requesting information about the 
provision of animal welfare services by the legacy councils. 
 
Regarding Waitakere City Council, you have made many requests for the same or similar 
information in the past and we have provided all the information that council holds. We 
therefore refuse your request under section 17(h) of the Local Government Official 
Information and Meetings Act 1987. 
 
We also refuse your request for advice about other legacy councils and Auckland council’s 
animal welfare enforcement under section 17(e) as there are no documents regarding 
animal welfare enforcement in other legacy councils or Auckland Council.   
 
You have the right to make a complaint to the Ombudsman regarding these refusals.
