I refer to your emails dated 15 January 2024 requesting information on all the bus route 
changes  and  additions  proposed  under  the  Greater  Christchurch  Public  Transport 
Futures programme. 
 
Environment Canterbury is in the process of finalising the Consultation Document for 
the  Long-Term  Plan  2024-2034,  which  is  scheduled  for  discussion  at  the  Council 
meeting on 28 February 2024. The information you are seeking will be available in this 
document,  publicly  accessible  on  our  website  https://www.ecan.govt.nz/get-
involved/council-and-committee-meetings, from 21 February 2024.  
 
This  Consultation  Document  will  now  drive  the  programme  delivery  and  timeframes 
rather  than  the  indicative  business  case  which  has  previously  guided  the  Public 
Transport  Work  Programme:  Future  public  transport  |  Environment  Canterbury 
(ecan.govt.nz). 
 
You will be aware that if you are not satisfied with this response, you are able to refer 
this matter to the Office of the Ombudsman under  s27 (3) of the Local Government 
Official Information and Meetings Act 1987.
