Thank you for your email of 26 January 2024, requesting all correspondence and information 
received by Minister Simmonds from Cameron Slater. 
Your request has been considered in accordance with the provisions of the Official 
Information Act 1982 (OIA). 
You have asked for: 
Please provide all correspondence between government ministers and Cameron 
Slater (formerly of Whale Oil blog and subject of the "Dirty Politics book). I require 
any and all messages that can be requested under the OIA. Also please provide any 
information with regards to any meetings between Mr Slater and any government 
ministers or other officials subject to the OIA. 
Nothing has been received by Minister Simmonds or members of her office from Cameron 
Slater. Therefore, your request is refused in accordance with section 18(e) of the OIA, as the 
information requested does not exist. 
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Office of the Ombudsman of 
my decision to withhold information relating to this request, in accordance with section 28(3) 
of the Act. More information can be found on their website at:
