Thank you for your email of 26 December 2023 to the Ministry of Education requesting the 
fol owing information: 
I am writing to request statistical data regarding Prime Minister’s Scholarships for Asia and 
Latin America (the Scholarship) administered by Education New Zealand Manapou ki te Ao 
(ENZ). 
I would like to request the information available for the most recent 4 years on: 
1. The number of applicants for the Scholarship in each year. 
2. The number of applicants granted the Scholarship in each year. 
3. The university grade point average of the applicants granted the Scholarship at the time of 
their applications. 
Your request has been considered under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act). 
We have determined that the information requested is more closely connected with the functions of 
Education New Zealand. As such, I have transferred your request to Education New Zealand in 
accordance with section 14(b)(i ) of the Act. 
You may expect a response from Education New Zealand directly concerning your request.
