Thank you for your request under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) to Manatū Hauora
(the Ministry of Health) on 20 December 2023 for:
“Please provide all information, including emails, memos, business cases, letters of
expectation, et al related to steps that the Ministry of Health may be taking to give effect to
the policy of the new Government that public service organisations should have their
primary name in English, and should communicate primarily in English.”
The Ministry has not been directed to "have their primary name in English, and communicate
primarily in English”. The Ministry has not updated its communication standards. We have
searched our records and have not identified any information in scope of your request. Under
section 18(g)(i) of the Act, as the information requested is not held by the Ministry and there are
no grounds for believing it is held by another agency subject to the Act, I am unable to provide
you with any information.
