Could you please provide a copy of the audited financial statements and accounts of the Electrical 
Workers Registration Board. 
 
The Electrical Workers Registration Board (EWRB) is a Statutory Board created under the provisions of the 
Electricity Act 1992. The EWRB’s revenue and expenditure are managed by MBIE and are accounted for 
within the MBIE financial statements. There is no separate financial statement prepared for the EWRB. 
 
The latest audited MBIE financial statement for the year ended 30 June 2023 is publicly available 
at: Annual Report 2022/23: Growing Aotearoa New Zealand For All (mbie.govt.nz). 
 
MBIE is therefore refusing your request under sections 18(e) and 18(d) of the Act, as the specific 
information you requested does not exist, but information relevant to your request is publicly available.
