Thank you for your email of 4 December 2023 to the Ministry of Education (the Ministry) requesting 
the following information: 
Erica Stanford claims that less than half of students are achieving at standard for Reading, 
Writing, and Maths. Can you please provide the data on which that claim is based? 
Your request has been considered under the Of icial Information Act 1982 (the Act). 
We have determined that the information requested is not held by the Ministry but is believed to be 
held by the Minister of Education. As such, I have transferred your request to the Minister in 
accordance with section 14(b)(i) of the Act.
