Thank you for your request made under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings 
Act 1987 (the Act), received on 01 December 2023. You requested the fol owing information: 
•  I request all correspondence to and from Nicola Young, regarding Tory Whanau and her night 
at Havana. 
•  I also request any evidence around this night. 
 
Wellington City Council has refused your request for information. 
 
Only information held in capacity as a Councillor is official information. Councillor Young has 
confirmed that no such communications took place. This part of your request is therefore refused 
under section 17(g) of the Act: 
 
that the information requested is not held by the local authority and the person dealing with the 
request has no grounds for believing that the information is either— 
(i) 
held by another local authority or a department or Minister of the Crown or 
organisation; or 
(ii) 
connected more closely with the functions of another local authority, or a department 
or Minister of the Crown or organisation: 
 
Wel ington City Council does not hold any ‘evidence’ on the night you are referencing. This part of 
your request is therefore also refused under section 17(g) of the Act.  
 
Right of review 
If you are not satisfied with the Council’s response, you may request the Office of the Ombudsman
