I refer to your information request dated 26 November 2023 made under the Official Information 
Act 1982 (the Act). You have requested: 
 
 
“I am contacting you to request information regarding the GPA distribution in the Marine 
Science, Geology and Zoology major programs. 
 
Specifically if I could be provided with the mean GPA and standard deviation for 2023 
graduates of these programs and the same for current 100L, 200L and 300L students.” 
 
 
Please see below the information you have requested. 
 
With regard to the 2022 Annual GPA Averages data below, we provide the following notes: 
 
• 
Completion indicates the student is eligible to graduate but may not yet have done so. 
• 
Any student completing more than one major is counted in both, but only once in the 
aggregated value. 
• 
Annual GPA is calculated based on results in all papers across all levels in the academic year.
