Thank you for your email of 23 November 2023 to the Ministry of Education requesting the
following information:
1. May I ask how many applications you have received from the public and how many you
have received from other nominating agencies such as TPK or Ministry of women etc.
2. Also, can you please supply the term of appointment and member's pay rate.
3. How many you have shortlisted and interviewed.
4. What stage of this recruitment is currently at and when you expect this to be finalized.
5. Further, may I kindly request the board's full meeting minutes from 1st Jan 2021 to now.
Your request has been considered under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act). Your request
has been numbered for clarity.
In response to part 1 of your request, all applications were from members of the public, none were
received form nominating agencies.
In response to part 2 of your request, the term of appointment is until the next triennial election.
Board members receive an honorarium, this amount is set by the board.
In response to part 3, the panel considers all applications and there is no interview as part of the
process.
In response to part 4 of your request, recruitment is in the process of seeking ministerial approval.
We have determined that the information requested in part 5 of the request and part 2 in relation to
the member’s pay rate is more closely connected with the functions of the Central Regional Health
School Board.
As such, I have transferred this part of your request to the Central Regional Health
School Board in accordance with section 14(b)(ii) of the Act.
