1. Costs of all direct or indirect funding, grants, or support given to their operations –
through lease or business support.
There has been no funding or grants provided to the Zero Waste Hub (hub) for any lease.
The below support towards operational costs were given as the work of the hub aligned
with Northcote strategic objectives.
2021-2022
$6,300
2022-2023
$5,800
2023-2024

Indirect wider Para Kore Zero Waste Programme (zero waste):
The below contributions were not directly to the Zero Waste Hub but for the zero waste
programme including the development and implementation of an action plan. The hub
was part of this zero waste programme. The action plan included exploring a home for
zero waste work in Northcote, which became the Zero Waste Hub. A small amount of the
below would likely have contributed to operational aspects of supporting the hub, staffing
and volunteer programmes.

3. Details the relationship between Eke Panuku and zero waste hub
There is a strong alignment between the zero waste hub, the wider zero waste work and
the Eke Panuku Northcote programme as part of regenerating the town centre.
We have held a temporary landlord role with the hub as they occupied some vacant
space in the town centre while we were advertising the space for a commercial lease.
The hub moved locations when spaces were leased.
We have a relationship with the hub through strategic contribution and community
engagement as part of wider zero waste working group to deliver on a three-year zero
waste action plan. This included:
- Supporting communications
- Supporting engagement within the Northcote community.
