Official information request regarding grade distribution for ECS papers 
 
We refer to the following official information request you made via email on 12 November 2023: 
 
“I would like to request a grade distribution break down by course (paper) for all 2023 trimester 1 and trimester 2 
papers run by the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science. By grade distribution breakdown I mean for each 
paper you would detail how many people got each grade for each paper (e.g. for COMP102 there was 1A+ 2A 3A-
.... etc).” 
 
The information you have requested for Trimester 1 papers is enclosed. However, we refuse your 
request  for  information  that  relates  to  Trimester  2  papers  under  section  18(e)  of  the  Official 
Information Act. We are unable to provide this information yet since grading for Trimester 2 papers 
is still in progress. Please feel free to submit a new request in the upcoming year.
