Request for Official Information: Information on Ruapehu Alpine Lifts Administration 
I refer to your correspondence of 10 November 2023 requesting the following under the 
Official Information Act 1982 (OIA):  
a) Key  documents  and  reports  between  Te  Arawhiti  staff  regarding  RAL  Administration,
liquidation and receivership.
b) Key  documents  and  reports  between  Te  Arawhiti  and  other  government  departments
regarding the management of the concessions.
c) Key documents and reports between Te Arawhiti and the voluntary administrators (PwC) or
Calibre Partners or Chapman Tripp.
d) Key documents and reports between Te Arawhiti and any other party regarding the transfer
or issuing of concessions for Whakapapa and Turoa skifields.
The OIA requires that we advise you of our decision on your request no later than 20 working 
days after the day we received your request. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to meet that 
time limit and we are therefore writing to notify you of an extension of the time to make our 
decision under section 15A of the OIA, to Friday 22 December 2023.  
This extension is because consultations are necessary to make a decision on your request, such 
that a proper response cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit. 
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision.
