OFFICIAL INFORMATION REQUEST REGARDING WORDING AND RESOLUTIONS FROM 5
AUGUST 2020 COUNCIL MEETING. I refer to your official information request dated 7 November requesting the wording and resolutions
passed in the Public Excluded Business of the Council Meeting 5 August 2020, as set out below:
I refer you to 20230927 Council Public Agenda item 5.11 a resolution passed 5 August 2020
(a) enter negotiations with the CIP to receive the $7.78Million grant
(b) to advance investigations of sites in the wider District including Ohakune;
(c) to prepare a Consultation Proposal for a new Public and Affordable Housing Asset and
Tenancy Management Strategy (ATMS); and
(d) to fully engage with potential housing partners including Kāinga Ora and Iwi Authorities.
Please provide the wording and resolutions that related to items b,c & d

(b) The wording of the resolution to advance investigations of sites in the wider District including
Ohakune:
“That the Chief Executive be authorised to advance due diligence on potential sites (including a
partial draw down of $100,000 for site investigation works over 4 study sites and $125,000 for
an investigation of additional sites within the wider Ruapehu District including Raetihi, Waiouru,
Ohakune, and Taumarunui) to assess suitability and likely timing within the overall quick start for
the programme.”
(c) The wording of the resolution to prepare a Consultation Proposal for a new Public and Affordable
Housing Asset and Tenancy Management Strategy (ATMS):
“That a Consultation Proposal for Council’s new proposed Social and Affordable Housing Asset
and Tenancy Management Strategy be prepared and reported to Council for approval at its 26
August 2020 meeting so that it can be publicly notified by 1 September 2020.”
(d) The wording of the resolution to fully engage with potential housing partners including Kāinga
Ora and Iwi Authorities):
“That the Chief Executive be authorised to fully engage with potential housing partners including
Kāinga Ora, Intellectually Handicapped Children, Accessible Properties, local Iwi Authorities, and
local businesses such as the Pet Food Factory owner.”
