Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) request of 26 October 2023, in 
which you asked for the fol owing: 
The content of each chapter, or each part of each chapter for: 
1. Alcohol and drug impaired driving

3. Police drug and alcohol policy
With reference to the first Policy requested, this is now referred to as Impaired Driving 
and is accessible here: https://www.police.govt.nz/sites/default/files/publications/phase-1-
impaired-driving-police-instructions-as-of-20-03-2023.pdf. Therefore your request has 
been refused under s18(d) of the OIA as the information requested is publicly available. 
Please find attached copies of the second and third Policies requested of which one has 
been released in part, subject to s9(2)(g)(ii) of the OIA, to maintain the effective conduct of 
public affairs through the protection of employees from improper pressure or harassment.
