“Under schedule 3 of COVID-19 Public Health Response (Air Border) Order
2021, there were exemptions entitled "Exemptions from some COVID-19 provisions".
These were for various groups of people:
-Diplomatic or consular officials
-New Zealand Defence Force members returning from service
-Persons arriving on foreign military craft
-Persons with permission to arrive for humanitarian reasons
-Refugees
-Citizens of Afghanistan
Please would you share:
- the number of exemptions that were applied for under this order?
-the number of exemptions that were given?
-the above number by "types of exemption" given and by the "various groups" eg NZDF
"All COVID-19 provisions" 100 applied and 99 given.”
Manatū Hauora does not hold any information relating to your request. However, I have been
