Thank you for your request to Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities, dated 28 November 2023,
which you made through the
www.fyi.org.nz website. You requested the following information under
the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act):
Please provide a copy of the first email sent to staff for the Annual Declarations this year and
any sent on the 7th August.
I have attached four emailed communications that relate to the Public Service and Integrity Week,
2023:
•
An email from the General Manager People, Governance and Capability to the Chief Executive
Leadership Group on 2 August informing them of activity for our Public Service and Integrity
Week, including annual declarations activity, the following week.

An extract from the Chief Executive Pānui sent to all of our people on 4 August advising them
that Public Service and Integrity Week is the following week.
•
An email sent to all of our people on 7 August, generated from our internal business support
portal, Arawhata, explaining that it is Public Service and Integrity Week and reminding them of
the requirement to complete a range of activities, including annual declarations.
•
Te Huinga People Leader update, sent to all People Leaders on 8 August, reminding them to
talk to their teams about Public Service and Integrity Week activities.
Some information from the documents has been withheld under section 9(2)(a) of the Act to protect
the privacy of natural persons. In addition, some information has been marked as out of scope of your
request.
