Thank you for your request, received on 9 October 2023, for the following information under the
Of icial Information Act 1982 (the Act):
•
“an XLSX or CSV list of street addresses (num/unit, street, suburb, town, region),
by ICP, from the Electricity Registry where that ICP is listed as being on an
embedded network. For example, but not limited to, participant network code =
TENC”
Your request is declined under section 9(2)(a) of the Act to protect the privacy of natural persons.
I am satisfied, in accordance with section 9(1), that the privacy interest in the address details for
electricity consumers along with their ICP numbers is not outweighed by other considerations that
render it desirable, in the public interest, to make the information available.
The Electricity Authority Te Mana Hiko may be able to provide you with aggregated counts such
as: • Total number of embedded networks.
• Total number of ICPs in all embedded networks.
• Count of embedded networks within each of the 29 local networks.
• Count of ICPs within each embedded network.
If you would like to request this information, please contact
[email address] to make another
request under the Act.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision.
