Official Information Act 1982 request – Request for investment board papers  
Dear T Murray  
 
This letter responds to your Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) request received by Sport New 
Zealand on 2 October 2023 requesting the below information: 
 
Can you please provide the Board papers presented to the Board for the approval of 
 
Community and High Performance Sport investment for the most recent investment rounds. 
 
 
2022-2024 HPSNZ 
 
Community Sport current investment (you only have 2020/2021 on website). 
 
The OIA requires that we advise you of our decision on your request no later than 20 working days 
after the day we received your request. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to meet that time limit 
and we are therefore writing to notify you of an extension of the time to make our decision to  28 
November 2023.  
  
We need to extend the timeframe of our response to your request by 20 working days, pursuant to 
section 15A(1)(b) of the OIA as consultations necessary to make a decision on the request are such 
that a proper response to the request cannot be reasonably be made within the original time limit. 
  
Please note that if you are not satisfied with this response, you have the right to make a complaint 
to the Ombudsman under section 28(3) of the OIA. Information about how to contact the 
Ombudsman is available at www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or you can phone 0800 802 602.
