Request made under the Official Information Act 1982 
 
Thank you for your email of 29 September 2023 requesting the following information under the Official 
Information Act 1982 (the Act): 
 
On Thursday 28th November 2023 a bus driver ran a red light on Symonds street 
heading city bound. 
I have read that you have red light cameras installed at this intersection and I’d like 
access to this footage and any potential CCTV available related to this. 
 
We emailed you on 29 September and 2 October 2023 asking if you could please provide further 
details about the location of the incident. Unfortunately, as we have not received a response from you, 
we have been unable to identify the CCTV footage being requested and therefore do not consider 
your request to have been made with due particularity. Your request has therefore been cancelled. 
 
Further, where footage is captured, it is only held within our systems for anywhere from 24 hours to 
several days (depending on camera location). As it is more than three days since you made the 
request, any footage from those dates would now likely be overwritten.
