Thank  you  for  your  email  of  11  September  2023  to  Oranga  Tamariki—Ministry  for 
Children  (Oranga  Tamariki),  requesting  information  around  the  amount  of  funding 
allocated for the development of Te Reo within the organisation. Your request has been 
considered under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act). 
You have requested: 
Please provide me with the total amount of funding allocated for the development 
of Te Reo in your ministry and affiliated organizations since the beginning of the 
new government  in  2020,  along with a breakdown  of  how this allocated funding 
has been utilized or distributed. 
On 20 September 2023 we sought to clarify your request to better inform our response. 
As we had no reply to our enquiry, we have interpreted your request to mean that you are 
referring funding allocated by Oranga Tamariki for the development of Te Reo. 
Oranga Tamariki does not allocate funding for the development of Te Reo.  
I encourage you to raise any concerns about this response with us directly by contacting
