Thank you for your email of 18 September 2023 confirming that your request of 13 September 2023 is
for the following information:
‘. . . your employment policies for your staff related to Covid 19, and for any persons under any
funding arrangements you have for work being carried out for Kainga Ora, ie c19 policies for its
Personnel being all directors, employees, subcontractors, third party agents, external
consultants, specialists, technical support and co-opted or seconded staff for Kainga Ora’
Kāinga Ora has considered your clarified request under the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA). On 19
October 2023 we extended the timeframe for responding in accordance with section 15A(1)(b) of the
OIA.
Kāinga Ora did not create employment policies for staff in relation to COVID-19. We asked that any
employees, including external consultants, specialists and technical support, co-opted, or seconded
staff were fully vaccinated if they wished to enter our work premises.
We also required subcontractors and third party agents to ensure that any of their employees who had
to enter our customers’ homes were fully vaccinated.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of my decision on your
