Thank you for your information request dated
21 August 2023.
You asked for the following
information:
“Please provide the recipients of the 9 million dollars of funding that was allocated
to the Ministry of Māori Development for distribution as part of the government's
cyclone Gabrielle relief package. This should include but not limited to the names
of any Marae/other service providers that received funds if applicable.
Please detail what funds, if any went to compensating volunteers”
Your request has been considered in accordance with the Official Information Act 1982 (the
Act).
Information relating to the Cyclone Gabrielle Māori Communities Response fund can be

response-fund.
This information provides a list of funding investments, including the name of the Marae/other
service providers that received funds (including compensating volunteers if applicable), the
amount of funds they received and the funding purpose.
We consider that the information already available on our website encompasses the
information you have requested and accordingly, your request is refused under section 18(d)
of the Act as the information requested is publicly available.
