CHRISTCHURCH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT LIMITED (CIAL)

We write further to our email of 21 August 2023, acknowledging receipt of your OIA
request (the
Request) of 20 August 2023 to CIAL seeking the following information:

Workstreams

Please could I have a copy of the detailed project plan showing the workstream
elements, dates and budgets applied to each?”
From the outset, please note that CIAL has recently released general summary
information on the proposed Central Otago Airport Project (the
Project) which can
be found on the Project website at:

We believe this document will assist you regarding the various work streams. In
addition, we refer you to the following publicly available information papers which
are available on the Project website.

Taking in turn your Request, we are not able to provide you with detailed project plans
and budgets for the reasons mentioned in paragraph (3) below. In relation to dates,
we have provided a high-level overview of when we expect to undertake each phase
throughout the pro

Please note that the Project is still very much in the validation and planning phase
which, in and of itself, is a complex commercial activity. Therefore, the disclosure of
CIAL’s plan/strategy/approach and budget for all its workstreams regarding any
aspect of the Project is information that may impact on CIAL’s ability to both carry on
negotiations and its commercial activities in relation to the Project without prejudice
or disadvantage. Accordingly, this information is withheld under section (9)(2)(i) and
9(2)(j) of the OIA.
