Thank you for your email of 13 August 2023 requesting the following information under the Official 
Information Act 1982 (the Act): 
 
What has been the cost of contracting scaffolding for the Beaumont Bridge on SH8? 
 
A total of $652,100 has been spent on scaffolding at this location from November 2010 to 31 July 
2023. These costs include monthly inspections, certification (including health and safety) and all 
scaffold and scaffold – ‘plywood deck’ maintenance. 
 
How many companies have been involved in the contract for scaffolding the Beaumont Bridge? 
 
Two local scaffolding companies submitted prices to install scaffold in August 2009. The lowest price 
was accepted. 
 
For how many years has there been scaffolding on the Beaumont Bridge? 
 
Scaffolding has been in place since 11 November 2010.
