Request for information 
 
Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) request of 11 August 2023. You 
requested: 
 
1) Is a temporary arming order currently in place for the Waitematā District, 
as of 10 August 2023? If so, (a) when did this order commence and (b) what 
information was provided to the public to advise of this order? 
2) Is a temporary arming order currently in place for the Auckland City 
District, as of 10 August 2023? If so, (a) when did this order commence and 
(b) what information was provided to the public to advise of this order? 
3) Is a temporary arming order currently in place for the Counties Manukau 
District, as of 10 August 2023? If so, (a) when did this order commence and 
(b) what information was provided to the public to advise of this order? 
 
Your request has been considered under the Official Information Act 1982.  We can 
confirm that there have been no arming orders in place for the above three Districts, as 
described by your request.  Therefore, your request has been refused under s18(e) of the 
OIA, as the document alleged to contain the information requested does not exist.
