Response to your request for official information Thank you for your request under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) which was
transferred from the Office of the Prime Minister to Manatū Hauora and the Department of Prime
Minister and Cabinet (DPMC) on 5 September 2023 for information regarding the spend on the
health system reforms. Please see below for the Ministry’s response.
“Can I please ask how much has been spent on the change of new health system
including extraction of Te Whatu Ora from Ministry of Health as well as combining 30
entities into one massive organisation while they still work differently from each other and
are still called DHBs (District Health Boards) at many places. Please provide data: From 1 Jan to 31 Dec 2022
