On 1 August 2023, Te Tari Taiwhenua | the Department of Internal Affairs (Te Tari
Taiwhenua) received your request for the fol owing information under the Official
Information Act 1982:
Please share all Posts and tweet(s) from 1 January 2021 to March 2023 that are
requested by the Ministry of Health, Medsafe, MAAC, NZSIS and the DIA to be
categorized as “Misleading Information”, “breach of community standards”, “Disputed
Claim” and/or “Misinformation’ to Twitter and Facebook.
For the avoidance of doubt this request covers actual files in whatever format, ALL
correspondence, diary notes, aide memoires or any documentation including written
and electronic correspondence including emails, as wel as phone, txt, and other
messing apps including but not limited to Signal and Whatsapp.
Upon further analysis of your request, I have determined that some information falling
within the scope of your request as above is held by the Ministry of Health and the New
Zealand Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS).
Accordingly, I am transferring in part, responsibility for this request to the Ministry of Health
and the NZSIS respectively under section 14(b)(i ) of the Act. This section of the Act enables
transfer when the information relevant to the request is more closely connected with the
functions of another department. The remainder of your request wil be responded to by Te
Tari Taiwhenua in due course.
