Partial transfer of Official Information Act request regarding Sunshine Hours. 
I refer to your request for information under the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) dated 
1 August for information.  
We have transferred part of your request to NIWA. Part of the information to which your 
request  relates,  namely—your  request  for  sunshine  hours  over  a  33-year  period  by 
month  and  region,  highlighting  anomaly  months  and  areas,  is  not  held  by  us  but  is 
believed to be held by NIWA. In these circumstances, we are required by section 14 of the 
Official Information Act to transfer your request. 
You will hear further from NIWA concerning that part of your request. 
You  have  the  right  to  seek  an  investigation  and  review  by  the  Ombudsman  of  this
