Tēnā koe John
Thank you for your email of 15 July 2023 to the Ministry for Ethnic Communities (the
Ministry) requesting information about Ethnic Communities Development Fund (ECDF) Panel
under the Official Information Act 1982 (the OIA).
I wil address each of your queries in turn.
“…May I ask how did you call for public nomination and on what platform you
have call for public nominations, e.g. govt.jobs website. Also, how many
applications you have received from the public and how many you have received
from other nominating agencies such as TPK or Ministry of women etc. further,
how many you have shortlisted. When you expect the recruitment process will
concluded.
The Ministry cal ed for the Expression of Interest (EOI) for the ECDF Panel via its website and
its social media platforms, such as Facebook and LinkedIn. As of 14 July 2023 (the deadline
for submitting EOI), the Ministry received 53 EOI applications. At the time your request was
received (15 July 2023), the Ministry has not begun its shortlisting process yet.
The Ministry’s Nominations team also promoted this vacancy to its members database and
encouraged the members to apply directly to the Ministry – and therefore there was no
application received from any nominating agencies.
The Ministry expects that the recruitment process wil conclude by 1 September 2023.
Also, may I request the full meeting minutes of Ethnic Communities Development
Fund Panel since it's establishment…”
Please find attached ECDF Panel meeting minutes. Please note that some information within
the documents has been redacted as it fal s outside the scope of your request.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of our response
