As Whaikaha continues to become more established, there will be a range of opportunities
for people to be involved in advisory, working and steering groups that will determine
the direction of some of our key work programmes. Information about these
opportunities will be made available through the Whaikaha website:
www.whaikaha.govt.nz. We strongly encourage disabled people who are interested in other Public Sector Board
opportunities, including at Whaikaha, to register on the Whaikaha Nominations Database.

The principles and purposes of the Official Information Act 1982 under which you made
your request are:
• to create greater openness and transparency about the plans, work and activities
of the Government,
• to increase the ability of the public to participate in the making and administration
of our laws and policies and
• to lead to greater accountability in the conduct of public affairs.
This Ministry fully supports those principles and purposes.
