Thank you for your request under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) to Manatū 
Hauora (the Ministry of Health) on 14 July 2023 for information regarding the Interagency 
Commit ee of the Health Effects of Non-Iodising Fields. You requested: 
 
“Information regarding a serious and long-standing conflict of interest on its 
Interagency Committee on the Health Effects of Non-Ionising Fields, please ask them 
to provide us specifically with which of the "policies and processes to deal with 
conflicts of interest" regarding Mr Martin Gledhil , which they (Manatu Hauora) claim it 
"has done so," please, without obfuscating language that may conceal what, if 
anything, has happened to resolve the conflict” 
 
Manatū Hauora manages any conflict of interest in line with the Controller and Auditor-
General guide for public service: oag.parliament.nz/2020/conflicts. Mr Gledhill declared a 
conflict that was managed as per Auditor General’s guidelines.

reviews of the relevant research that have been published by independent national and 
international health and scientific bodies. Information on managing their potential conflicts of
