It should cover off:
·         When the business case was received (inc a meeting between Joyce/Coleman and Waikato)
·         That officials provided advice
·         That Ministers agreed to respond inviting them to submit a detailed business case
·         That this letter is currently with Hon Coleman, for sign off
·         Any other pertinent details I’ve missed
 
It may be worth adding a paragraph to finish noting that it’s not possible to indicate any kind of formal timeline, until Waikato has received a response
from Ministers, but that they would need several months at least to produce a detailed business case and put it through an IQA.
 
I need this asap – ideally by the end of Cabinet (2pm). It should be fairly straightforward, as there’s not much to say, but it seems the Minister just wants
something formal (rather than an email from me) that he can pass on to the PM.
