Thank you for your email of 7 July 2023 to the Ministry of Education requesting the following 
information:  
Could I please have all written advice prepared by the Ministry over the last ten years for 
ministers and other government agencies on the question of a new Medical School at the 
University of Waikato, including arguments made for and against. 
Your request has been considered under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act).  
The Ministry has not prepared any written advice over the last ten years in relation to the above. 
The information requested is not held by the Ministry, and is more closely connected with the 
functions of the Tertiary Education Commission and the Ministry of Health. 
Ordinarily, we would be required to transfer your request in line with section 14(b) of the Act, 
however we have not done so on this occasion, as we are aware that the aforementioned agencies 
have also received this request, and will respond to you directly in due course.
