Thank you for your email of 7 July 2023 to the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) 
requesting, under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act), the following information: 
 
“Can you disclose the total number of EOIs have been received after 12 Oct 2022 that went 
into the ballot, please. Only the application which are currently in the ballot. Please include 
the number of persons.” 
 
 
Our Response 
 
As at 5 July 2023, there have been 3,359 Expressions of Interest (EOIs), representing 5,093 applicants, 
submitted for the Parent Resident Visa ballot since 12 October 2022.
