Thank you for your email of 3 July 2023 requesting information relating to New Zealand
Kennel Club. Your request has been considered under the Official Information Act 1982
(OIA).
You requested
Please supply me with copies of all correspondence and other docs relating to New
Zealand Kennel Club inc trading as Dogs New Zealand with regard to a contract enabling
DogsNZ to operate a registry for all dogs that the Govt requires to be registered presently
through the Local Councils.
The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) has done an initial search for information relating to
the New Zealand Kennel Club inc. We have been unable to locate any contracts or
correspondence in relation to your request. As such, your request has been declined
pursuant to section 18(e) of the OIA-
that the document alleged to contain the information
requested does not exist or, despite reasonable efforts to locate it, cannot be found. We suggest you contact the Department of Internal Affairs as it is the responsible agency for
the Dog Control Act 1996.
