Your Official Information Act request, reference: GOV-027792
Thank you for your emails of 15 September 2023, asking for the following information under the Official
Information Act 1982 (the Act):
The date range is each calendar year from 1 Jan 2013 to present.
This is a request for the number of ACC disclosures to third parties based on having an ACC45 form
on file for a claim, divided by the following categories:
(1) Physician specified on the ACC45 form,
(2) External Clinical Advisors (ECA),
(3) Medical Committee Review (MCR),
(4) ICRA,
(5) FairWay,
(6) Other dispute reconciliation agency (please name),
(7) ACC external legal counsel,
(8) Other physicians not specified above, and
(9) Others (please provide description).
This is a request for the number of ACC disclosures to third parties based on having an ACC6300
form on file for the claimant, divided by the 9 categories above.
When I say third party, this means any party other than the claimant, the claimant's representative,
the claimant's advocate, or the claimant's lawyer.
Please also provide a copy of the ACC6173 Information Disclosure Checklist.
We are unable to provide the number of disclosures to third parties
While we can identify claims with an ACC6300 attached, we do not hold collatable information that would
enable us to determine the number of disclosures of claims information to third parties. We could only
determine this information by undertaking a manual review of all individual claim files. Due to the number
of claims involved, we are refusing your request under the substantial collation and research grounds. This
decision is made under section 18(f) of the Act. We consider that extending the time limit for responding or
applying a charge would not enable us to avoid a significant impact on ACC’s operations.
The ACC6173 form requested is attached to this letter.
