Official Information Act request relating to GroupSense
Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) request received on 23 June 2023.
You requested:
“Pleases share your emails, correspondence, Memos and contracts with
GroupSense.io Please include:
1. All of the settings in your system (eg screenshots of the settings and engaged data
brokers saved in a word document) for implementation on Facebook and any other
data brokers using and of the GroupSense toolsets.
2. INCLUDING the users and keywords flagged in your GroupSense system (eg in an
excel spreadsheet or csv format) 3. The guidelines and objective documents used to
complete the initial set up of your GroupSense implementation
4 Copies if all GroupSense reports
5 This request is for 2020 1 Jan until now.”
I can confirm that the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet does not use
GroupSense nor have there been any requests to assess it for use. As such, I am refusing
your request under section 18(e) of the Act as the requested information does not exist.
You have the right to ask the Ombudsman to investigate and review my decision under
section 28(3) of the Act.
This response wil be published on the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet’s
website during our regular publication cycle. Typically, information is released monthly, or as
otherwise determined. Your personal information including name and contact details will be
removed for publication.
