CRLG00153/23 – LGOIMA REQUEST: ECC/EOC SEISMIC RESILENCE
Thank you for your information request that we received on 27 June 2023 requesting Council to 
identify for our CDEM Group and its members each building that is currently identified as the 
building intended/likely to be used as -the ECC -an EOC after a seismic event. Please provide the 
buildings current %nbs at IL4, the date of the last assessment, and the type of seismic assessment 
completed. Alternately if you do not hold/cannot provide the above please provide the last seismic 
assessment for the buildings identified above.
Please  find  attached  to  this  email  Council’s  Detailed  Seismic  Assessment  for  the  Waipā  District 
Council Building at 101 Bank Street indicating that the building is at 35% NBS for an IL4 building. This 
report includes the  Council Chambers within the building which is utilised as the Waipā District 
Council EOC during a disaster response (includes seismic events).
