Wayne Brown campaigned on getting tough to sort auckland out. Can you not find more cuts to cycle lanes and
other nice to haves until we get this budget under control. Once sorted we can slowly introduce the nice to have s
again.
Is it not time that people learned that sometimes we must do without to balance the books.
Stick to your tough script.

Hi Wayne
One can understand ratepayers not understanding much about shares but that should not be the case with
counsellors.
I invest and use CraigsIP. I have been to a few events where Mark Lister, Investment Director was a keynote
speaker. He sometimes does an opinion piece for the Herald. If some of your counsellors will not listen to you they
might listen to an expert. He is a very nice guy so maybe you could ask him to speak to the counsellors.
Maybe you would ask the counsellors opposed to the sale if they would borrow money against their own homes to
buy Airport shares.
Kind regards

Hi Wayne,
We met and had a short chat at the event Damian Grant hosted (speaker was Roger Patridge) a couple of
months back.
Thank you for the budget. I support 100% the selling of the airport shares. Share this quote to those who
don't understand the situation
"Assets can melt, Debt will snowball". I learnt this quote from my friend,
and I share it in the personal finance workshops I conduct. Await the sale of Airport shares.
And thanks for the reduction in cones, more could be reduced. Also, if you noticed, the new road signs are
very flimsy, poorly installed and some a hazard (obstruct the view of drivers). It's either a very
incompetent lot of people at road transport or there's some "monkey" business going on.
Cheers,

I have been watching your battle with the entrenched management of the Auckland council, and you seem to be
winning. To get rid of the airport shares which are highly inflated ,like everything in New Zealand ,would be a coup
for you, and a great part to take down the cities deficit. The only major infrastructure that needs doing is a new
under harbour tunnel with rail capacity , a port move, and unfortunately the completion of that serious mistake the
underground train thing , to karangahape road .. the city has been run by inexperienced fools for many many years,
so you have tonnes of mistakes and crap to clean up. I returned to auckland, had a nice place in st heliers, but
moved to Melbourne because of all the small minded auckland inhabitants. Pity really, but I see a good man in you,
trying to right a lot of wrongs. Keep up the good work Much respect s7(2)(a) privacy

morning.
I’m still watching the video but you have delivered precisely what the community voted for you were looking for.
Anyway, enough from me but please do take comfort from all your terrific hard work.
The next round of champagne & smoked salmon is on me!
Keep doing what you are doing ‐ Auckland needs you now more than ever!
Kindest possible regards.

Hi Wayne,
I believe you are doing an excellent and difficult job as Mayor of Auckland.
I only wish Wellington could have a right‐wing mayor instead of a lightweight greenie who loves handbags, and
we're stuck with Grant Robertson MP who squanders money wholesale.
Keep up the good work and your attacks on the left‐wing media ‐ they are drongos!

A word of encouragement, your focus and approach to Auckland council budget is on the bu on…..I recollect the
head of Auckland finance being interviewed on RNZ 6 years ago, and sta ng “we can borrow what we want, we are
guaranteed by the ratepayers” and therein has been the folly of this ridiculous en ty for the past decade….cant
afford it, so borrow, for arts, business development, libraries and endless crazy commitments that were never
affordable in the context of a manageable budget.
Your comments this morning were exactly correct….many councillors cannot, or will not run the city as a sustainable
business owned by ratepayers.
Again, well done and please keep the focus on the fiscal irresponsibility.
Kind Regards

Listening to you with respect to the current budget. About me someone put Council under the microscope. Well
done.
Please name those councillors who won’t support the sale of Auckland Airport shares. They should all quit en masse

Good Afternoon Wayne
I am no longer an Aucklander but if I was I would have certainly voted for you.
This latest nonsense about cherry picking reporters is too funny.
For how many years did the former Prime Minister pick and choose who she would front for, who she would select
from a crowd in order that only their questions would be answered.
This is the same main stream media who have and continue to cherry pick articles and content to convey their wish
list of how the world should work.
You are a warrior to be sure…keep going. There are supporters of yours everywhere as you kick against the
roadblocks and walls that have been constructed to keep other ideas at bay.
Oh by the way…when you have eradicated cones in your neck of the woods, please get down here to Canterbury.
There are more cones than people stretching from the east to the west and north to south.
It is beyond ridiculous.

Dear Mayor Brown
From a little old lady to a very brave man. Well done for standing up to the machinations of a government that only
allows one party the right of free speech. Well done on restricting some media from attending your speech event in
the pursuit of objective journalism.
Keep going!

Dear Mayor Wayne Brown,
I was angered to hear that only certain journalistic organisations, ones that weren't "pretty nasty", were invited to
your Budget Announcement.
The exclusion of journalistic organisations, and then inviting only specific journalists in the hope to get more
favorable coverage is cowardly, and insulting to your voters.

Airport shares - good time to sell per technical perspective - price will collapse until 2025
Albeit a merchant banking service, if you cannot get the sale through, then seek a
bond against the value and borrow against the bond with bank securing against both
and allow bank to sell them if the security level are breached. Then no one has
control over the decision plus council gets the cash flow.

Hi Wayne,
Just a quick email to give the big thumbs up and congratulate you on your stance and strategy. Absolutely love your
straight, no nonsense approach.
I’ve watched Auckland city ruined by agendas and pet projects.
You have restored my faith in humanity with common sense.
I would even consider running for council to ensure you have the right support around you to get stuff done.
Kind Regards
