I refer to your email, which we received on 3 June 2023, requesting information about public
feedback to the mayor emails.
Your request and our response are below.
Please provide the full text and attachments of the 01/06/23 email from the Mayor to
councillors with public feedback calling councillors dip sh*ts.
Please also provide the name or position of the actual sender of the 01/06/23 email
from the Mayor to councillors with public feedback calling councillors dip sh*ts.
Please find all emails requested attached, noting that the names and contact details of the
public have been withheld, in reliance on LGOIMA section 7(2)(a) to protect privacy.
The instruction was given to a staff member who did send the email from the mayor’s email
address. Their details are withheld with reliance on LGOIMA section 7(2)(f)(i ) to protect from
improper pressure or harassment.
The decision by Auckland Council to release the information contained in this response was
made by
