which you asked for: 
 
For research purposes, please provide the fol owing information under the provisions 
of the Official Information Act. 
 
I request the total area (hectares) of Conservation land burnt each year as a result of 
wildfire in the years 2007/08 through to and including 2014/15. 
 
We have considered your request under the Official Information Act 1982. I regret to inform 
you that your request is being declined under Section 18(e) of the Official Information Act. 
The reasons are that the information you have requested does not to our knowledge exist. 
The information was not comprehensively col ected initial y by the Department, nor does the 
Department hold the information that would al ow you to answer your question in a 
meaningful way.   
 
You are entitled to seek an investigation and review of my decision by writing to an 
Ombudsman as provided by section 28(3) of the Official Information Act.
