Dear Samuel
Official information request for Reserve Bank of New Zealand – Te Pūtea Matua
wel ness benefit policy and list of items receiving reimbursement
I refer to your Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) request of 10 May 2023 for the fol owing:
Please provide your organisations wellness benefit policy and a list of all items employees have
been reimbursed for through the wellness benefit.
We are releasing to you the RBNZ’s guide to the wellness benefit.
Your request for a list of al items employees have been reimbursed for through the wellness
benefit would require a manual search through several hundred claims. Therefore this part of
your request is refused under section 18(f) of the OIA - that the information requested cannot
be made available without substantial collation or research.
You wil note however that examples of items or activities that would be eligible for
reimbursement are listed in the guide document being released to you.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this OIA
response. Information about how to make a complaint is available at
www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or freephone 0800 802 602.
Please note that we intend to publish a copy of this response on the RBNZ website:
www.rbnz.govt.nz/research-and-publications/official-information-requests. Responses to
requests are published in order to improve public transparency and provide an additional
resource for anyone seeking information.
Yours sincerely
